Kidlo Kids Educational App

My kids have been lucky enough to partner with Kidlo to try out their Award Winning educational app for kids and toddlers; I have to say, it has been nothing short of amazing!  My toddlers (ages 5 and 3) love to “play” with this app. I say play in quotations because while they are playing, they are really learning – which I LOVE!

It’s been said so many times that we should limit screen time, and I agree, too much stimulation isn’t good.  But when they do get screen time, I prefer them to be on an app that is providing both education and fun.  I also like that it is safe for them to be on without my supervision because I know that nothing inappropriate will pop up.  That is comforting for me as a Mom.

Kidlo provides Math, Reading, Phonics and so much more!  I would definitely rate this app in my top 3 for kids “must-have” apps.  There are songs and kid-friendly activities that really holds their attention.

My daughter (the 3 year old) struggles with the alphabet.  Can she sing the song? Yes.  Can she recognize letters in front of her? No.  Both of my kids are very different, and that’s ok.  My son could spell his name at age 2 and could tell me all the planets in the solar system at age 3 – not joking.  I love that the Kidlo “Learn English” app provides my daughter with songs about each letter in the alphabet and it’s not one song per letter,  I heard at least 3 different songs on just the letter E alone.  I love it!  I know that in time, she will recognize and know her letters very soon with the help of Kidlo.

My 5 year old will be entering Kindergarten this coming school year.  We are going on vacation this week for Spring Break and I am happy that we have the Kidlo app at our fingertips so he can continue to practice his addition and subtraction even while we are away.  The trick is on him though because while he is having fun, he is also learning all while we are on vacation! Mom win! Regardless of age or skill level, there is something for toddlers at all stages of their educational development.

My one suggestion for Kidlo would be to add a desktop version.  While apps are amazing and so accessible (believe me I love this), I think it is also a good idea to have a desktop version so kids can practice using a mouse and keyboard.  Just my opinion!  Disclaimer – We did not try the coding app yet, but it is next on the list.  We have downloaded it and will be “playing” with that very soon as well.  The English and Math apps are great.

What are your favorite kid friendly, educational apps?

Thank you to Kidlo for allowing us to try out these apps.  We have thoroughly enjoyed them and are looking forward to continuing to use them for our fun and education.

  1. I’ll have to check this out. My grandkids each have their own tablet, so I’m always on the lookout for easy, fun, educational apps. I am amazed at all the things they have learned by “playing.”

  2. I agree! If the kiddos are going to be on electronics they may as well be learning! This sounds like a winning app for kids to learn while they play!
Let’s face it, as much negativity as computers and games get from society – the schools are using them too these days!

  3. I will be passing this on to my toddler moms! I wish we had all this when my kids were little. I know people talk about screen time but if they are learning and enjoying it that’s great. Technology is what they will be learning. They will be well equipped when they start school.

  4. We are always looking for new educational apps to download to our kids tablets. I try to limit screen time and when they are on their screens we try to make sure they are using educational games and shows. I will have to check this one out.

  5. I love the rich colours in the first family picture. On my free time, I look for good and highly recommended educational and interactive programs for my nieces and nephews. This is the second time I come across Kidlo and I am quite impressed to hear that parents are noticing a huge difference in their child’s developmental learning. I am glad to hear your kids are making the best out of this app!

  6. I love apps that make learning fun for kids. I really believe that kids retain a lot more information when it’s presented in an entertaining way. My friend’s daughter is the perfect age for this, I’ll have to share it with her!

  7. OMG! I want this app! Does it really make them learning new things! That is perfect! I can’t believe it! I was looking for a while for an app like this!

  8. Oh wow, this does look like an amazing app! I bet this will be helpful for my nieces and nephew. A part of me sometimes wish we had things like these as a child haha — but anyhow, now there really are a lot of amazing apps out there!

  9. That sounds like a wonderful app for little ones. I am ALL FOR educational apps. My kids are older, but we still limit screen time and try to keep as many apps as educational as possible.

  10. Always nice to have an app when it is necessary to keep kids busy for a little while. Having an educational app is always the best. They can play for half hour and be done.

  11. All my grand daughter wants to do is math when she’s here. I have to print out stuff all day for her to do. This app is perfect for her. It will save me loads and loads of ink too, lol.

  12. We avoid apps and spend most of our time reading books and using phonics programs, but this sounds like a great resource for parents. As a reading specialist, I have a ton of other resources up my sleeve.

  13. We are always looking for educational apps. My kid was a little bit older now but my nephew is at the perfect age for this app. I know he would love it and I know his mom would love it because it’s educational.

  14. Sounds like a load of fun! My boys often use my phone for fun apps and this would be great for them! We will have to give it a try!

  15. My kids could really benefit from an app like this. Kids don’t seem to be learning quite like when I went to school. This app looks so helpful.

  16. It’s great. In this day and age of technology, kids just don’t learn in traditional ways. My six-year-old is super techy but he knows his stuff and its thanks to apps like this.

  17. I will have to download this app for my daughter, who is 7. She loves to “play” on apps like this too, you know where they are having so much fun learning they don’t even realize it!!!

  18. Glad to see technology being harnessed for the benefit of the kids. The Kidlo apps look fun and educational at the same time. I think it makes sense to have desktop versions too.
